We’re still smiling after our incredible experience with Louie, our adorable ‘Business Buddy’ from the Virginia Beach SPCA! As part of the VBSPCA’s Business Buddy Program, we had the pleasure of spending the day with this lovable four-year-old hound mix — and let us tell you, he completely stole our hearts. ❤️
From the moment Louie stepped paw into our office, he was a total gentleman. Friendly, easy-going, and always up for a good belly rub, he quickly became the star of the show. He loved roaming around and greeting everyone in the office. Whether it was a pat on the head or a playful tail wag, Louie made friends wherever he went.
Of course, no office visit is complete without a treat or two — and he was very appreciative of those! His playful energy brought so much joy to our team, and the smiles were non-stop. We even took him on a little field trip to our Lynnhaven location to meet more of our staff, and (unsurprisingly) he was a total pro. Calm, curious, and well-mannered, he made everyone’s day brighter.
Why We Love the Business Buddy Program 🐶
We’re proud to be a sponsor of the VBSPCA’s Business Buddy program, which gives shelter dogs a much-needed break from the shelter and a chance to enjoy new experiences in the community. It’s a wonderful way to support local rescues, help dogs like Toe Bean shine outside the shelter walls, and hopefully catch the eye of their future forever family.
The Virginia Beach SPCA does amazing work in our community — from animal rescue and rehabilitation to education and adoption services. Programs like ‘Business Buddies’ and ‘Beach Buddies‘ show how even a few hours outside the shelter can make a world of difference for these animals.
Want to Get Involved?
Helping animals like Toe Bean is easier than you think! Here’s how you can make a difference:

We’re honored to play a small part in Toe Bean’s journey and hope his forever home is just around the corner. Until then, we’ll be cheering him on and continuing to support the VBSPCA’s wonderful mission.
Thank you, VBSPCA, for everything you do — and Louie, you’re welcome back anytime!
