CRi (Choice. Respect. Independence.) is a nonprofit that supports those with developmental disabilities or mental health needs in order to help them build a fulfilling, independent lifestyle. They have a wide range of services for both adults and youth community members. Since 1975, CRi managed group residences and has since grown to accommodate a multitude of individuals.
Not only do their services affect their residents, but also their staff. Everyone needs encouragement now and then, and the CRi staff is no different. The Direct Support Professionals take on many roles, like mentors, teachers, and any other roles their residents need.
Our team, on 2645 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge, VA, sent “Kindness Cards.” These cards serve the residents and the Direct Support Professionals in their network to encourage them during this trying time. If you would like to send your own Kindness Cards, find out more here!
