Family Frights at Jamestown Settlement in Colonial Williamsburg
“Family Frights,” a Halloween-theme museum night for the entire family, returns to Jamestown Settlement in Colonial Williamsburg for the 10th year on Friday and Saturday, October 20 and 21. Trick-or-treating, ghostly tales, and grisly games will be among the festivities. Smoke, lanterns, and sound effects create a spooky setting in Jamestown Settlement’s re-created 1600s fort. Along with even more activities at buildings in this living history area, families can explore friendly and frightful haunted houses centered around this year’s theme. Toward the 1607 ships’ pier, visitors climb aboard a haunted Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery, each with its own spooky theme for trick-or-treating. Haunted Hunt Club Farm: Festival of Fear in Virginia Beach
Hunt Club Farm is a 32-acre family-owned farm in the heart of Virginia Beach that has been hosting some of the scariest Halloween events for decades. This year they are turning the farm into a scream park of Halloween thrills, terrifying haunts, live entertainment, vendors, and more. Along with their always eerily popular Haunted Hayride, they are adding Death Alley, a walk through our family cemetery’s graves and mausoleums with the dead, Forbidden Fields, a cornfield maze of cursed creatures, and Village of the Dead, a walk in the shadows on the dark & twisted paths through the farm.
