This Christmas, the Williamsburg House of Mercy is working to ensure every child wakes up with a gift. They are asking for donations of every kind to fulfill their goals. Our Ironbound Road team made their donation, and you can too! View their options here to donate through their website or send an item from one of their wishlists. They will be collecting gifts through December 11.
Williamsburg House of Mercy
The Williamsburg House of Mercy gained its name in 2015 but has roots as far back as 1979. Sister Berenice, or the “Mother Teresa of Williamsburg” as she was commonly referred to, started various social ministries in the area. This created a legacy that has grown into the nonprofit we know today. Now, this center serves as the area’s only care center for the homeless. They offer various services, including shelter, hunger, pregnancy, and financial opportunities. In addition, the group works to end local homelessness and create stability for a full, rich life.
