Storage Tips of the Week – Packing Fragile Items

Here are a couple of storage and packing tips that are very important, simple to do, yet often overlooked when packing fragile items.
Always start with a layer of packing material such as packing pellets, bubble wrap, or Polyethylene Foam at the bottom of your container. If you are using a cardboard box as your container, be sure to add a few more pieces of heavy duty packing tape to secure the bottom of the box so it remains closed.
The best way to prevent breaking smaller items is to always begin packing the box with the heaviest items first, then later you can begin to add lighter items as you fill the box.
Happy packing and storing!
