Founded in 1966, the Virginia Beach Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (VBSPCA) serves the Hampton Roads community. In the very first year of its first shelter in 1969, it serviced more than 5,000 animals and has grown to accommodate larger undertakings. Since then, they have expanded to include wildlife, a humane education center, and an affordable low-income veterinary clinic. Additionally, they have become instrumental in passing legislation against animal cruelty in the city. Even though the initial shelter sits at a different site, it is safe to say that their passion for animals is just as strong. They currently serve a wide variety of animals that rely largely on donations from the public.
After they sent out a message that they needed bedsheets, we knew we had to help. Our Virginia Beach, Virginia team at 1000 Lynnhaven Parkway, donated some new sheets to use as they wish. If you would like to help the VBSPCA fight against animal cruelty, look at some of these options!
